Or should I say orange-ade as this looks more like orange juice than lemonade. Never the less, it’s the perfect alternative to buying store bought lemonade that is full of refined sugars, has no beneficial nutrition and can be harmful on our metabolism and contribute to all sorts of havoc in our bodies! We don’t want none of that. So this type of lemonade is a great alternative leaving us feeling satisfied and has some quality nutrients in it! Boom town for your body.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED 2-3 Lemons 3 Red Apples A knob of Ginger ¼ teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper ½ Cup of Sparkling Water WHAT NOW? You will need a juicer… Although you could use a blender but it won’t be lovely and smooth. Juice the lemons, apples and ginger. Stir through the cayenne and if you wish to make this slightly sweeter then add in a tablespoon of pure maple. Top with sparkling water and ice. Easy Peasy. When using cayenne don’t put too much in… Rooky, rooky mistake that I have made before and literally blown my head right off my shoulders!

This is the perfect drink at this time of the year when heading into the colder months (New Zealand) Cayenne pepper is great to add to food or in this case drinks as it fights flus and colds, assists the body with detoxification, helps digestion, stimulates circulation and is great for the skin.
